Yellow habanero chillies are one of the hottest chillies in the world and originally come from Mexico. This variety prefers a dry, very warm climate, which is why it also thrives on Mallorca.

The shape of the habanero resembles small peppers.

The severity level on the 10-point scale is 10. The yellow Habanero has between 130,000 and 310,000 Scoville, depending on the degree of ripeness and irrigation.

The aroma of the yellow habanero is very fruity and can be compared to that of a freshly sliced apricot. We recommend using them fresh and cut into small pieces in warm dishes or as powder. Yellow habaneros can also be pickled. When it comes to dosing, it is important to start with small amounts, you can always add seasoning. When cutting the fresh chillies, it is essential to wear gloves and never touch your face with your hands!

The yellow habanero is used very versatile. Traditionally, fresh fish is seasoned with it, but salsas (typical Spanish or South American sauces), prawns, meat or chutneys can also be "spiced up" with it. Speaking of apricots - sprinkle a sliced apricot with a little ground Habanero yellow results in a fiery and interesting dessert!
